Digital Governance for Innovation Districts and Public InfrastructureBuilding the organizational capacity to adopt technology faster, and more transparently.
In partnership with Helpful Places, we developed digital principles and technology governance frameworks for organizations responsible for shaping public space and infrastructure. At Michigan Central — Ford's 30-acre innovation district in Detroit — the work established a flagship data transparency program for technology piloted across the district. For Great Rivers Greenway, the Brickline Technology Plan applied digital technology principles to the regional greenway network in St. Louis, providing a guide for future technology investment across the full system.
What we see in this work, again and again: organizations that invest early in governance build the internal capacity to evaluate, adopt, and disclose new technology with confidence — making them faster and more transparent in the moments that matter.
